The State Commandant of the Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps (NSCDC), Ekiti State Command, CC Toma Mathew Enya, PSLC, has charged newly elected executive members of the Command’s Cooperative Society to justify the confidence reposed in them by prioritizing the welfare and interests of members.
The charge was delivered during the inauguration ceremony of the new executive members, held at the Command’s Conference Hall, State Headquarters, along Ado–Ikere Road.

In his address, the Commandant emphasized that the executives had begun writing their leadership records from the moment of their inauguration. He noted that their performance would ultimately be assessed by members at the end of their tenure and urged them to remain committed, transparent, and accountable in the discharge of their duties.
CC Toma also commended the immediate past executive members for their laudable contributions and impactful programs, which enhanced the well-being of members within the Command.
He expressed optimism that the newly inaugurated leadership would build on existing achievements and introduce improved welfare initiatives for the benefit of all members of the Cooperative Society.
The ceremony featured key highlights, including the formal administration of the oath of office by the Command’s Legal Adviser, Chief Superintendent S.O. Ojo, Esq., signifying the executives’ commitment to integrity and service.
In addition, the Commandant, who serves as Patron of the Society, presented Certificates of Return to the elected executives, officially recognizing their mandate to serve.
The event also celebrated leadership and service excellence, as the State Commandant was presented with a Certificate of Good Leadership, while members of the Electoral Committee received Certificates of Merit for their diligence and transparency in conducting the election process.
