NSCDC Ekiti Cooperative Society meets members’ yuletide food needs

The Cooperative Society of the Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps (NSCDC), Ekiti State Command, has successfully organized its annual Yuletide food distribution exercise, providing essential food items to members at affordable rates ahead of the festive season.

The initiative, which took place at a designated venue within the Command, was marked by a vibrant atmosphere filled with excitement and appreciation from members who benefited from the gesture. The exercise was thoughtfully arranged by the management of the Cooperative Society to support its growing membership base both within and outside the State Command.

As a longstanding tradition of the society, the Yuletide food distribution programme is designed to ease the financial burden often associated with the festive season. To further enhance accessibility, the cooperative made the items available at subsidized rates and introduced flexible payment options, allowing members to pay in installments over a period of up to six months.

Items made available during the exercise included staple food products such as rice, white and brown beans, vegetable oil, palm oil, and live chickens, among others—ensuring that members and their families could celebrate the season with ease and dignity.

The management of the Cooperative Society reaffirmed its commitment to continuously implement member-focused initiatives aimed at improving the welfare and wellbeing of all members.
